The Toshiba booth at CES is all about glasses free 3D. We saw screens from 12 inches to 65 inch whoppers, as well as getting a peek at the new Toshiba Android tablet, although it was encased in a perspex tube so we couldn’t get our hands on it. More snaps after the jump.

The Toshiba glasses free 3D varied between screens: Bigger screens tended to give the 3D more of a domed fish eye type effect, whereby the 3D was shallow at the edges and deep in the middle. Toshiba’s Standard TV sizes worked best, although in terms of viewing angles there was a sweet spot, adn looking in from the side caused ghosting and fuzziness, and made the verticals visible. Saying this, what we saw from Toshiba today was a massive improvement on the sort of glasses free 3D that was around a year ago, and miles better than what was on display at IFA earlier in the year.

What do you think about glasses free? Can’t wait for it to make it to market or is it just part of the 3D fad? Shout out in the comments!
