Forget waiting around until Sunday night to watch the premier of NBC’s new show ‘The Cape’. Thanks to a partnership with DC Comics, NBC is allowing iPad owners who currently have DC’s free app, first dibs. Here’s what you need to know.
From now until January 8th you can fire up the DC Comics app on your Apple iPad and gain access to the premier of ‘The Cape’. The new NBC show isn’t actually based on a DC comic character, but instead used the comics for inspiration. After the success of the movie Kick-Ass, the real-life super hero is finding new life across the board.
According to Adam Stotsky, president of marketing for NBC Entertainment, “We thought engaging with DC Comics and the iPad would be a perfect way to create some pre-premiere buzz with fans who have the capacity to be ambassadors.”
