Today’s CES recap was really exciting and lo and behold, CES in photos has come along to match it. After the break we’ve got hands on with the Samsung Galaxy Player which is aiming to takedown the iPod touch, the intriguing MSI Kid Pad toddler tablet and its grown-up brother the MSI Windpad 100a Android tablet as well as the gorgeous Samsung D7900 LED TV and a pair of tantalising Dell tablets (the Dell Streak 7 and Dell Streak 10). Click through for more details on the most visually appealing CES 2011 treats today…
MSI Windpad 100a Android tablet
We got hold of the MSI Windpad 100a in a very early prototype form (it crashed and there were bits missing) but it does have some pleasing features (full-size HDMI, full-size SD card slot, mini-USB and Nvidia Tegra 2 power inside + GPS and 3G SIM card slot)
MSI Kid Pad toddler tablet
Another prototype beast, the MSI Kid Pad is a rugged tablet for toddling types. It has a bit handle and two USB ports and a 3.5mm audio jack to go with its 10in screen. It’s strictly a concept right now but maybe MSI will be pushed into putting it into production if enough people like it.
Dell Streak 7 hands on
Steve Jobs doesn’t like 7in tablets (or so he claims) but Dell is down with the form factor. We got to give the Dell Streak 7 a look over and found it to be quite beefy despite its size. Can this match the iPad? We’re not so sure.
Dell Streak 10
The Dell Streak 10 is a 10in Android tablet. That’s about as much as we know right now.
Samsung D7900 LED TV
Good news: Samsung has made an utterly beautiful LED TV with a near edge to edge screen, 3D and Internet-connected smarts. Bad news: it isn’t coming to the UK.
Samsung Galaxy Player
We got out hands on the Samsung Galaxy Player and it really does look like the first true Android competitor to the iPod touch and for £50 less too!
