Dell Streak 7

Dell just took to the CES stage to officially unveil and talk up the Dell Streak 7. It’s the bigger brother of the previous 5-inch Streak, this one measuring a whole 7-inches. The Dell Streak 7 is the first 4G tablet from Dell and we got our hands all over it.

First things first, the Dell Streak 7 is one beefy tablet. Of course it’s still much smaller than an iPad, but for those wanting something much, much more portable than an Apple iPad, we’d question whether the Dell Streak 7 is what you’re looking for. Dell Streak 7, despite weighing less than 1lb still has a slight heft to it.

Of course the latter is a matter of opinion. Now for some cold hard facts. The Dell Streak 7 is a 4G capable laptop coming to T-Mobile and fitted with Nvidia’s Tegra 2 chip for, what we witnessed to be pretty nippy performance. We didn’t notice any judder between switching between applications ourselves.

Adobe Flash player 10.1 comes already equipped. That should let you watch pretty much any video on the web without being told to install it, if you can.

Dell didn’t tell us a price, but we’ll soon find out when it hits stores within the next couple weeks at a “consumer friendly price.”

Out soon | £TBC | Dell
