Behold the Samsung ZX310 laptop. Looks a touch like the MacBook Air doesn’t it? This is Samsung’s latest 13.3 inch laptop, otherwise known as the 9 series, that it will be unveiling at its press conference in just under an hour.
The 16mm thick Samsung ZX310 laptop is made from Duralumin, which is stuff used to build aircraft. The screen is LED-backlit, and it has a 100,000:1 contrast ratio and 16 million colors. It’s also got a nifty reactive light sensor: the laptop detects ambient light and adjusts the display brightness based on surrounding lighting so it’s easy on the eyes.
Intel‘s latest Core i5 or i7 processor gives you plenty of oomph, while the battery is good for a supposed 6.5 hours away from the mains. The Samsung ZX310 also packs USB 3.0, Bluetooth 3.0. It’s got a 4GB memory, with options for a speedy 128GB or 256GB solid state drive.
While we know the Smasung ZX310 is heading to the UK, we don’t yet know when or for how much. We’ve contacted Samsung UK for more details, and fingers crossed we’ll get more details at Samsung’s press conference here in Las Vegas, which kicks off shortly.
