The Canon PowerShot A3300 IS has just been outed at CES today, and it’s quite the powerful super slim compact to saddle up in Canon’s digital cameras range. While it’s a tad more mass market than Fujifilm‘s latest RAW shooter, it’s still impressive, packing in a whopping 16 megapixel sensor and 720p HD video recording, plus 5x optical zoom. Canon’s got plenty more low end shooters too: read on for the breakdown of them all.

Alongside the flagship A Series Canon PowerShot A3300 IS, Canon’s outed the cheaper Canon PowerShot A2200, which drops down to a “mere” 14 megapixels, 4x optical zoom and HD video recording. Just below that sits the Canon PowerShot A1200, at 12.1 megapixels, which still keeps the 720p video recording.

Lastly, there’s the Canon PowerShot A800, the imaging giant’s new bottom end compact camera with an $89 (£50) pricetag. We’re talking 10 megapixels and VGA video recording here, but, hey, it’s only half a ton.

Canon still hasn’t served up UK pricing and launch dates for the Canon PowerShot A3300 IS and the rest of the line, but we’re chasing for you now and will update when we get them.
