A Kinect PC controller is coming but not from Microsoft. PrimeSense, the firm that teamed up with Microsoft to develop Kinect from Project Natal, has now hooked up with Asus to create the terribly-named WAVI Xtion. The Kinect PC controller will bring “Minority Report”-style handwaving to your PC with Asus planning to offer an entire WAVI Xtion app store. There’s no news of whether Mac fans will get some WAVI Xtion action but we’ve had a Kinect Mac hack and know that Apple itself has lots of patents for motion control lurking in the vaults.
