Looks like Ford is pulling out all the stops this CES and unveiling not just some new in-car tech, but a whole new car.
This teaser photo, slipped quietly onto the car firm’s Facebook page, shows a Tron-style glowing charge socket, and styling that’s a dead giveaway: Meet the Ford Focus Electric.
That charging socket isn’t just a pretty addition to the front wing though. Those blue lights around its edge seem to show at a glance how juiced up the Ford Focus Electric is. Check out our photo gallery, and you’ll see it seems to show charge levels in quarters, by lighting up in four sections.
The Ford Focus Electric will get a full unveiling on Friday at 11am PST, as Ford CEO Alan Mulally steps up to deliver his keynote CES address. We’ll be in attendance, and are also jetting direct from Vegas after CES to the North American International Auto show in Detroit straight afterward, to catch up with Ford in more detail.
You can watch Mulally unveil the new Ford Focus Electric live, with the keynote address on a Livestream tab on Ford’s Facebook page.
