Check out this Crayola iPad stylus from Griffin. It’s part of Crayola ColorStudio HD, an iPad colouring and drawing app that comes with this niftily designed iPad stylus, the Crayola iMarker. This is marketed at kids, but we think there’ll be a lot of grown-ups wanting a go of this too. Click through for the full size image.
Put the Crayola ColorStudio HD together with the Crayola iMarker, and you’ve got live, animated colouring book pages, with animations, music, and sound effects. On one Crayola iPad colouring page, fish swim, doors open to reveal surprises, and mermaids serenade the scribbler.
The Crayola iPad iMarker acts as a marker, crayon, pen, and paintbrush in one, allowing the ColourStudio HD app to differentiate between gestures and the iMarker stylus.
Warren Schorr from Crayola said: “Imagine a colouring book that morphs and changes as kids digitally colour it in. This application is taking a classic play pattern and bringing it totally outside the box.”
The Crayola iPad app also lets you design your own colouring pages, and you can also print out the pages, or upload your little Michaelangelo’s best works to Facebook. It’s arriving in Spring this year, and will set you back £20, including the Crayola iMarker (which comes with batteries included).
