Toshiba Android Honeycomb

A Toshiba Android Honeycomb tablet has been revealed! Nobody mention the Toshiba Folio which was one of the most disappointing gadgets of 2010 but Toshiba is having another crack at getting an Android tablet right. The first look at the Toshiba Android Honeycomb tablet makes it seem pretty appealing. Toshiba is touting the unnamed Android Honeycomb tablet at CES 2011. It’s a 10.1in tablet is packing a capacitive 1280×800 resolution screen with a built-in accelerometer, ambiet light sensor, 5MP camera at the back and 2MP camera on the front.

It also rocks a USB port, an HDMI jack, a mini-USB port and an SD card slot. No one seems to have seen a fully working model yet but Toshiba is saying it’ll come with Android Honeycomb on board. It has a rather snazzy rubberised back and is about 6in thick.

Toshiba says the Android Honeycomb tablet will be released in the first half of 2011 at a “competitive price” so we’ll assume that means about the price of the iPad or Samsung Galaxy Tab. Let us know what you make of the Toshiba Android Honeycomb tablet. Will it be able to compete with the iPad and more importantly the iPad 2 we expect to see imminently?
