The HTC Thunderbolt, the new Android phone with an 8MP camera and video smarts has been outed again in ads on Engadget. The full specs list is a mystery right now but we’d expect to see the HTC Thunderbolt get its covers pulled off properly at CES 2011. From what we can see in the initial images there’s a hefty screen and some video chat smarts on the way.

      Cause they're simply the best Android phones out. I couldn't stand the Galaxy S's skin.
      Tried using Vanilla Android and found it to be overrated/hyped by the Electricpig reviewer. I instantly missed my HTC widgets and 7 homescreens.

      Android 2.3 is superb, especially with the new keyboard! HTC still does social network account syncing better though, so I definitely see it isn't for everyone still.

    It won't come to the UK, because the UK “version” is already here.

    This is a Desire HD with a forward facing camera, and support for LTE (and a kickstand!).

    Since we don't have any LTE networks in the UK, and won't for several years, there would be no point releasing this in the UK. In addition, it's a Verizon device meaning when it's not on LTE, it's using CMDA rather than GSM, so can't even operate as a regular 2G/3G device over here.
