The Official PlayStation iPhone app has just been outed. It’s not the PlayStation Phone but it’s still pretty interesting. The PlayStation iPhone app will let you get at your PlayStation Network trophies and check your friends’ statuses. From within the app, you’ll also get news about games and hardware for the PS3 and PSP, there’ll also be a feed from the European PlayStation Blog and the ability to share updates with your friends on Twitter and Facebook. Sony says the PlayStation app is hitting the iPhone, iPod touch and Android “very soon”.

The Flipboard iPad app caused quite a storm when it was released earlier this year and has even nabbed Apple’s approval as App of the Year for 2010. Now the Flipboard iPad app has had a serious upgrade too with the addition of Google Reader support, Flickr integration and the ability to fling status updates, photos and Flipboard pages straight from the app to Twitter and Facebook. Flipboard says: “Google Reader was by far our most requested feature.” Google Reader entries are shown in Flipboard the same way as links shared via Twitter and Facebook with a headline and a brief summary plus a relevant photo. You can download the latest version of the Flipboard iPad app from the iTunes App Store now.
