The Steve Jobs action figure is racking up big bids in eBay auctions (one went for $2500 over the weekend) and Apple is not happy. It seems Apple’s legal team killed a Steve Job figurine auction with a highest bid of $1125 and has its sights trained on the other Steve Jobs action figure sales that have spread across the auction site since the original company received a cease and desist order from Apple. Apple says the Steve Jobs action figures breaches Californian laws on public figures rights to control their own names and likenesses. Instagram is one of our best iPhone apps and it looks like it could be one of our best Android apps soon too. Instagram has hit 1m users, is going for an extra-funding, has plans for a new API to share its smarts with third party applications and most excitingly an Instagram Android app. Co-founder Kevin Systrom told Techcrunch: “Android is really important to us and we know it’s important to lots of people too.” Are you an Instagram fan? A Kinect virtual reality hack was pretty inevitable. Nao_u has managed to do just that, creating a game where you inhabit the unfeasibly short-skirted personage of a Harajuku girl. He used Kinect to map his movements to control the virtual character and hooked up a pair of Vuzix VR920 LCD glasses to see what the game chracter sees.
