The people have spoken, they love their new Apple TVs. In a press release this morning, Apple announced that it expects sales of the Apple TV to top one million units later this week. With the launch of AirPlay, included in the iOS 4.2 update, wirelessly streaming music, video and photos from the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch has become a key force behind the sales boost.
Add in the free Remote app which allows control of the Apple TV and you have a recipe for success. According to the latest sales figures, iTunes users are now renting and purchasing over 400,000 TV episodes and over 150,000 movies per day. Not too shabby if you ask us.
