The LG Optimus 2X (formerly the LG Star) has been officially outed – the first handset to pack a dualcore 1GHz Tegra 2 processor – which promises super-speedy smartphone skills. It’ll also arrive with HDMI mirroring and the ability to play the best Android apps on a big screen – speedy Angry Birds on your telly? Sounds good to use. The LG Optimus 2X will also drop with 8GB of internal storage and a pair of cameras (8MP on the back and 1.3MP for the front-facing camers). The LG Optimus 2X is due to drop early next year with Android Froyo onboard initially but an Android Gingerbread update coming soon after.
