The iPad is not exactly packing many ports and while Apple sells adaptors they’re hardly brilliant for multi-tasking USB junkies. MIC Gadget’s 3-in-1 iPad Camera Connection Kit is the coolest solution we’ve seen so far (if ports can actually be cool). It plugs into the iPad dock connector and gives you not just a USB port but microSD and SD card slots. It goes for the same price as the official Apple iPad camera connection kit in the US so it seems like a pretty good deal to us, at least until the iPad 2 arrives. Click the headline to head for the comments: are you tempted by the iPad adaptor?

Hi I got one but it was not compatible with the latest ipad software and the ipad complained it was drawing too much current. Bought the official apple one – less hastle

Sounds great except for Apples habit of killing off the connectivity of 3rd party producuts. I used to have a cable that connected my ipod to the TV, very handy when you are on holiday, it worked fine for a while until Apple did a firmware update and it worked no more!

It's a shame that Apple stifle the open market in this way.

I hope that once iPad gets FaceTime, someon will do a little plug in camera for the original iPads!
