The plan behind the Google Nexus S NFC smarts is rolling out. Google has begun to send NFC-embedded stickers to businesses in the hipster haven of Portland, Oregon so customers can recommended businesses and check-in by just tapping their phones on a surface. The Google NFC stickers will be tied to Google Places and the Google Hotpot service that quietly emerged a few weeks back. The Google NFC stickers and the NFC-skills built in to the Google Nexus S could also tie in quite nicely to Google’s social network plans (the project we now know is NOT called Google Me). Hit the headline and let us know: what do you make of the Google Nexus S and NFC?
