We don’t know much about the iPad 2. It will probably have a front facing camera for FaceTime, there’s a possibility it could get an OLED display. What else do you want from the iPad 2? Retina display? expandable storage? If you had the ear of Steve Jobs, what would you be putting in the iPad 2? Click and tell…

Let's say for a moment that Apple are launching a new iPad (although I'm still very dubious) are any of the features above really that exciting / special / required to warrant a new model so soon after the first!?

Retina display: The iPad screen is already stunning, why change it?

Front Facing Camera: How many people really use video chat? (I still haven't used Facetime in 5 months and half the people in my phonebook are using iPhone 4's)

Seven inch version: Is the iPad really that big that it needs to be smaller!?

Expandable Storage: 16GB, 32GB or 64GB are quite sizable memory allocations already. At 32GB I've yet to run out of memory on my own iPad.

Flash: Flash doesn't warrant a new iPad, in my opinion Flash isn't even required. I've been using my iPad almost every day and I haven't found a need for flash in months!

I hope when the second incarnation of the iPad does arrive that it brings with it something really special and not just a few tweaks like these above!

The size is a big deal: it's the one thing that stopped my wife getting one and is making her lean towards the Galaxy Tab. The iPad is too big to fit in the size of bag she normally carries, but she finds her phone too small to use email etc. properly. The Tab is exactly the size she wants, and if I weren't waiting to see what iPad 2 and Samsung's next offerings (hoping for Gingerbread and SuperAmoled) were like, she'd be getting one for Christmas.

I'd just buy a bigger bag… but that's just me
