Finally! RSS addicts rejoice, Google Reader Android has just been released by Google. We’re confused that it has taken so long but Android phones now have a native Google Android app. It’ll support multiple accounts, sync preferences with the full-fat web version and, best of all, allows you to sling links to other apps like Twitter, Facebook and Gmail. What else do you want from us? Get over to the Google blog and download the Google Reader Android app now.

Surely the key features in the web based google reader is – automatically expanded items (not just headlines) and the “infinite scrolling”. Allowing you to scroll down your very own never ending personalized newsaper.

The new app is nice, but seems a bit pointless since its more like the mobile web reader, rather than the full google reader.

The only feature that could move me from NewsRob would be the ability to add new feeds. A brief tinker with this (nice looking) official app tells me that it's not included.

    Thank you for this App
