The comments section was split too, with readers pointing out that Wii was cheaper, but others reckoning that Move and Kinect had outdone the Wii by far. Yeowch.

Mike Jones, CEO of MySpace and Dan Rose, VP of Partnerships and Platform Marketing (how do you fit that on a business card Dan?) are set to make a joint announcement via webcast later today. There’s no clue about what the two are planning but the lack of Mark Zuckerberg on the invite suggests it won’t be anything as big as an acquisition or merger. So Twitter has a score for you. And you. And that guy over there. At Web 2.0, Evan Williams revealed that the Who To Follow recommendations on Twitter are based on secret reputation scores which each user gets. According to Ev, Twitter’s “science and math people” (it’s MATHS, Ev) have systems to generate the Who To Follow algorithm and that uses the secret reputation score. He wouldn’t reveal exactly how the Twitter reputation score is generated but suggested it might go public eventually but “it has to evolve more” first.
