Lady Gaga Polaroid OS in the works?

The appointment of Lady Gaga as Polaroid creative director hasn’t produced much yet besides a couple of OK-looking cameras. But it seems a lot more is in the works. Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales has been answering questions over on Formspring this morning. One answer that surprised us, hidden among the “do you like Vespas?” “Have you been to Greece?” “Have you been to Vermont”, and so on, was to the question: “What’s your browser homepage?” Wales answered: “Bing.com – they have pretty pictures every day.” Aw, Jimmy! He didn’t give a full Bing endorsement though, and apparently the pretty pictures aren’t enough for him to actually use Microsoft’s search engine, because he went on to say that he still uses Google for most of his searching.

Cut the Rope just passed the three million download mark. We’re obsessed with Om Nom (who is way cuter than Rovio’s birds and pigs), and the Angry Birds franchise efforts are making it increasingly uncool. There’s an update on the way for Cut the Rope too, which updates for retina display, adds 25 levels, 11 achievements, and zero gravity. There’s also an Android version in the pipeline. Cut the Rope is already snapping at the heels of Angry Birds in the App Store charts. When the iPhone update arrives, will Cut the Rope take top spot? You tell us!

Alert! Portal 2 is delayed. Again. Valve has announced that the Portal sequel will now be emerging sometime around April 18 2011 on Mac, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. The game has been pushed back two months which Valve says in its typically funny was is “the shortest delay in Valve’s proud tradition of delays”. In fact the email release about the Portal 2 delay is almost entertaining enough to get us to forgive Valve for its tardiness. It says the delay “represents the approaching convergence of Valve Time and Real Time. Though this convergence spells doom for humanity, it will not affect the new Portal 2 release date.” Phew!

Out April 2011 | £TBC | Portal 2
