We’re on the digital march against Wi-Fi NotSpots this week, waving our digital placards and clicking for change! If you missed it, last week we found last that 40 per cent of The Cloud hotspots didn’t exist, or didn’t work, and 33 per cent of BT Openzone hotspots we tried were unresponsive or didn’t work. We’re appalled by this, and it means that more than one in three hotspots we tried did not deliver a service we’d paid for. We shouldn’t stand for this: we need Wi-Fi! If you’ve not joined the Facebook campaign to show providers we want better services, do it now! If you’ve joined: tell your friends today, on Facebook, Twitter, and any other social network you choose to use!
Apple has plans for free MobileMe. That’s the rumour that’s rattling around after folk went rooting around in the latest iOS 4.2 beta. Settings within the iOS 4.2 software seems to show that MobileMe will use your AppleID rather than MobileMe account info. That suggests that a new free version of MobileMe is coming. This morning we’ve had an update on Advent Vega stock, which sold out just a couple of hours after going on sale. While Gmail phone calls have been around for a while and Google Voice has just hit the US iTunes apps store, Google has quietly slipped out a new feature: Gmail phone call recording. Not everyone appears to have it yet but a new recording button has popped up for lots of Gmail phone call users.
