Dev Team haven’t wasted any time bringing us an iOS 4.2 jailbreak. It’s here already, and arrived yesterday, just 24 hours after the iOS 4.2 update arrived.Bad news is that if you’ve got a more recent Apple device such as a new iPod touch or an iPhone 4, this jailbreak is tethered.

Yesterday we reported on the possibility that the royal wedding, date now set for April 29, will be shown on 3D TV, after rumours of talks between the BBC and Sky. We asked whether you, the subjects of this fair kingdom, want to see the royal wedding on 3D TV. Unsurprisingly, you said no. 69 per cent of you said no thanks, and 31 per cent said yes, wanting the dress to be chosen according to its effectiveness in eye-popping 3D.

The Skyfire iPhone app is finally on sale in the UK, after being teased, let on to the US App Store, then snatched away again and updated for US iOS users. In case you’ve missed all the furore, it’s a browser with an unusual USP: a workaround to play Flash video on your iPhone, something which Apple has gone out of its way to prevent on its smartphone.

We’ve been testing it all this morning to see what top British sites you can now enjoy on your iPhone or iPod touch, and our biggest find has been extra support for BBC videos outside of iPlayer. 4oD fans however, are in for a disappointment. Read on for the breakdown.

An Apple I, the great grandaddy of today’s iMac, has sold for £133,350 in an auction at Christies. The price makes the Apple I in question worth the equivalent of 310 iPads – a device that it is thousands of times slower than. One of only 200 models, the auctioned Apple I was snapped up by Italian collector Marco Boglione who plans to restore it and put in a museum of classic Apple kit. Our favourite Apple I fact? It cost $666.66 because Steve Wozniak likes repeating digits!
