George Bush bumbled into Facebook for a live chat with Mark Zuckerberg as he continues to put more effort into hawking his memoir Decision Points than he ever did in the Oval Office. Talking to a decidedly deferential Zuckerberg, Bush revealed some of his tech preferences. While we know the good ol’ boy loved a bit of The Knack’s My Sharona when he was President, it seems he’s ditched his iPod now…

Explaining his decision to appear on Facebook Live, Bush said: “I have over 600,000 friends on my Facebook page…Facebook is a really interesting company and the truth of the matter is that I’m shamelessly marketing…” Thanks for the honesty George, now what about all those tricksy weapons of mass destruction we didn’t find?

Bush went on to discuss his tech preferences during his time in office: “I’m the first president whose administration used email…there are 170m emails. I didn’t want any of those to be mine.” He’s also moved on from his iPod. He says:  “I used to plug an iPod in.” “I don’t use my iPod anymore. I like to hear the birds.”

However he does have an iPad and occasionally uses it. Tying that Apple fanboy touch into his promotional push, Bush said: “I have Decision Points on my iPad!” We’re sure democratic donor Steve Jobs will be just thrilled to bits about that.
