While Google TV has not yet swum the Atlantic to hit UK shores, the news from our American cousins is not good. Google TV devices are already having their prices slashed. That may be part Black Friday/Cyber Monday related but the rune do not read well. Both Best Buy and Sony stores have slashed over $100 on Google TV devices. The problems with Google TV seem to be growing – the networks won’t offer their content, users are grumbling about a poor UI and the ugly Google TV remote and now the price is being slashed. Meanwhile the Boxee Box bounces along quite happily and while the new Apple TV is not worth having in the UK, in the good old US of A it’s chugging along quite nicely.
