We’ve seen offerings from Advent, Binatone, Creative, Archos, Hannspree and more, all for under £300, and many for around the £100. Some of them were better than others, and the Advent Vega has trumped the rest in the attention it’s received. The question is, will you be investing in an Android tablet this Christmas?     Dear Electricpig,

    I will be buying one – purely because they'd be amazing as a portable graphics tablet. There are some very good drawing/painting apps on Android, that coupled with a resistive touchscreen would make it ideal for working on the move… Unlike the cumbersome capacitive styli or fingers needed on the iPad or Galaxy tab (which are fairly expensive also!).
    I was wondering if you could suggest the best resistive tablet running Android (1.6 or higher) that you've tested/played on, please?

    Got a vega and getting another for a present for a loved one.

    Hardware and Price won me over at £230.

    I dont want 3G when Im only using it at home. So kiss my arse Orange. (Cant believe they are charging £200 with a 24 month contract – RIP off). Surely a 7inch would be more portable and therefore more likely to use the 3G?

    I keep hearing about Android tablets, over and over and over. But it seems that they're not out yet. They're nearly all coming soon. Most of the ones that are out are rubbish; crappy, unofficial versions of Android, resistive screens, low power etc. And the ones which aren't total crap are priced even more expensively than iPads!! How the hell does that work.

    Wake me up when I can choose from 5 or 6 decent, cheap, powerful tablets with a decent spec and affordable price. When will the Desire of the tablet world turn up?
