The Cowon X7, the latest media player to take on the might of the iPod touch, has launched in the UK. Toting a 4.3-inch 480 x 272 touchscreen and a battery delivering over 100 hours of music playback, could it be the PMP to give Apple a bloody nose?

Well, probably not in all honesty – there’s none of the app compatibility which makes the iPod touch so appealing – but the Cowon X7 does sound like a pretty decent alternative for anyone who shuns anything created by Cupertino’s finest.

The Cowon X7 comes in 120GB and 160GB capacities, boasts 10 hours of battery life for video playback (as well as the aforementioned 100 for music), an FM radio, picture and document viewers, Bluetooth and a TV output.

Apparently sound quality is a big plus point with the Cowon X7: its JetEffect BBE+ reportedly enhances even low quality MP3s, and there are 35 presets to play around with.

I dont see how Cowon is trying to take on the ipod touch, if they were Cowon would add all these silly apps and features trying to become more *ipod touch like*
Cowon instead is just trying to cater to the music lovers out there with their amazing sound quality, storage, screen size, and customization for those audiophiles out there.
So i dont see how your comment *Probably not* seems anywhere intellectual, you just come off as a apple fan to me.
