We asked you this week which Wi-Fi hotspot provider you found to be the worst, in terms of working connections, that were fast enough to get things done. We wanted to pool your experience, and find out who you thought was the worst Wi-Fi hotspot provider in the UK. Click through for the results.
In our tests, we found that The Cloud had a 40% failure rate, which was mostly based on hotspots not being where they were meant to be. BT Openzone fared slightly better in our tests, but didn’t come out sparkling, with a failure rate of 33%. Speeds were generally much poorer on BT Openzone than The Cloud.
You had a slightly different opinion, voting BT Openzone by far the worst hotspot provider, which perhaps links to our findings that BT Openzone speeds were generally poorer than The Cloud. 59.5 per cent of you said that BT Openzone was the poorest Wi-Fi hotspot provider, whereas only 19 per cent voted for The Cloud. 11 per cent had found T-Mobile to be the worst provider.
