Yesterday we reported on the possibility that the royal wedding, date now set for April 29, will be shown on 3D TV, after rumours of talks between the BBC and Sky. We asked whether you, the subjects of this fair kingdom, want to see the royal wedding on 3D TV. Unsurprisingly, you said no. 69 per cent of you said no thanks, and 31 per cent said yes, wanting the dress to be chosen according to its effectiveness in eye-popping 3D.

Untill you've seen a true 3D TV broadcast it's hard to understand what it brings to the viewing experience. I wasn't that bothered about it and thought it a waste of money, but after seeing a Sky HD 3D trailer at the cinema before a 3D film I'm pretty impressed. Sport especially looks good. When in the next 3 or 4 years I start looking for a new TV 3D will probably be a feature.
