A heads up for all the Gran Turismo 5 gamers: after today’s release of Gran Turismo 5, HMV and Gran Turismo 5 are combining forces this weekend for a nationwide 3D gaming tournament.
Sony Bravia TVs will be installed in branches of HMV, and heats will run on a leaderboard system from this Saturday. The fastest two Gran Turismo 5 players from each region will then go on to a grand final, which will be staged at HMV Oxford Circus on 15 December. The compere for the event will F1’s Jake Humphreys.
If Gran Turismo 5 is on your Christmas wishlist, or if you’re waiting to hear more about 3D gaming in the wild before you commit your hard earned cash, then keep your ear to the ground, as our review will be arriving later this week.
If you’re planning to buy a 3D capable telly, then Sony is also offering you a copy GT5, a PS3, 2 pairs of 3D glasses and a 3D transmitter, which adds up to a swag bag of over £500 worth of gaming goodies, if you buy a Sony 3DTV from 24 November to 5 December in a Sony Centre.
