Elder Scrolls 5 is in the works, according to a new report. According to a source, the sequel to fantasy RPG Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, widely considered the best game of 2006, is well underway, with voice recording happening soon. Is it a welcome return for ye olde classic series?
Eurogamer suggests that Elder Scrolls 5 might be the title Bethesda recently hinted it had been working on for two years for current platforms (presumably PC, Xbox 360 and PS3), and it certainly makes sense. Bethesda was also behind the smash hit Fallout 3 (and published the recent Fallout: New Vegas), so you know the company’s got pedigree. Let’s just hope they sort the shonky facial animations and bugs out, if as executive producer Todd Howard hints, it’ll be based on the same engine as those games.
