We’re on the digital march against Wi-Fi NotSpots this week, waving our digital placards and clicking for change! If you missed it, last week we found last that 40 per cent of The Cloud hotspots didn’t exist, or didn’t work, and 33 per cent of BT Openzone hotspots we tried were unresponsive or didn’t work. We’re appalled by this, and it means that more than one in three hotspots we tried did not deliver a service we’d paid for. We shouldn’t stand for this: we need Wi-Fi! If you’ve not joined the Facebook campaign to show providers we want better services, do it now! If you’ve joined: tell your friends today, on Facebook, Twitter, and any other social network you choose to use!

    I dont get this campaign – you *actually* trust open wifi ?!

    You really expect it to be;
    a) honest – a service to actually be who they say they are.
    b) secure ?

    Go on open wifi your cookies / sessions are ripe for side jacking or man in the middle attacks :/

      We're talking about Wi-Fi that you pay for: BT Openzone, The Cloud, T-Mobile and others. And yes, we do expect that we get what we pay for and we get a service that's worth paying for.
