Play Farmville? Frontierville? No. Those are old news. Here’s CityVille. A cross between Farmville, Sim City and probably your worst nightmare. Zynga’s latest game is set to launch in the next few weeks and it’s custom built to take on its rivals including Digital Chocolate’s Millionare City, Playfish’s Empire and Playdom’s Social City. Zynga are the kings of opportunism, they see the virtual city market and boy do they want to build on it…
TechCrunch says CityVille feels very similar to Sim City. You lay down roads, build houses and then more on to businesses. As the population grows you gain access to more impressive buildings. Of course, you’ll also be able to buy extra stuff from Zynga for a price and there’ll be the usual click tasks to keep you chained to your CityVille City.
