Another Kinect hack has come along to blow our minds with the open source wonder of Microsoft’s motion-detecting peripheral. UC David researcher Oliver Kreylos created a Kinect hack that turns it into a 3D video camera by feeding the streams from the infrared and colour cameras into a custom programme that processes the results to create a 3D environment. It looks a little rough and ready but hell, we are impressed. Jump to the other side to see the Kinect 3D capture tool in action…
