The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2 has just been made official today, and it’s here to give Olympus‘ rival PEN line a scare. It’s a 12.1 megapixel Micro Four Thirds shooter with interchangeable lenses, and capable of shooting up to 1080i HD video. It’s bring your own flash unfortunately, but you’ve got a few months to start saving: this bad boy isn’t available until January next year.

    Shame they're going to package it with the 14mm lens rather than the incredible 20mm pancake which I understand represents most of their sales. It does have a flash though it's not particularly powerful. Still tempted by a GF1
