Muji, the trendy Japanese stationery store, has got into the iPad app game. Its three Muji iPad apps are beautiful, just the kind of design the Apple lovers go gaga for. The Muji Calendar iPad app and the Muji to Go travel iPad app are both free but the Muji Netbook will set you back £2.39. So what do you get from the Muji iPad apps and will they make our best iPad apps list?

The Muji Calendar app is a smooth looking scheduler with Google Calendar support. Hook it up to Google Calendar and it’ll sync multiple schedules into its neatly designed package. It gives you the choice of a 12 or 24 our layout, uses pinch-to-zoom to quickly jump to specific events. You can also hop straight into the Muji to Go app from within the Muji Calendar. If you don’t have Google Calendar, the Muji Calendar works on its own too.

The Muji to Go iPad app is a grab bag of useful travel tools. It packs a World Clock which lets you make a list of cities you want to watch, a Weather app with 5 day forecasts for locations around the world, a guide to world power sockets, a simple Google search interface, currency exchange rates and large format calculator that’ll remember earlier sums.

Finally, the Muji Notebook is the one you need to slap down some cash for. It’s Muji’s stationery smarts crammed into your iPad. It comes packing handwriting recognition and predictive text input so you can take notes and sketch within the app. It’ll also grab photos and PDF files from elsewhere on the iPad and from iTunes. You can adjust the size and layout of pictures in the notebook and email notes.
