The Samsung Galaxy Tab Android slate has hit UK shelves, and now the networks have coughed up their pricing for 3G – Vodafone and Orange are first out of the gate, so see how much they’re asking. We also put the iPad up against two other rival slates, the Toshiba Folio 100 and the promising Advent Vega machine, in our stat clash.

Sticking with Android meanwhile, Samsung denied rumours of a forthcoming Google Nexus Two smartphone, while we got our mitts on arch rival LG’s tiny little Froyo phone, the LG Optimus One.

Finally, online, Channel 4 has rolled out its own rental movie streaming service, Film 4oD. Can it compete with Lovefilm?
