The HTC 7 Trophy Windows Phone 7 blower was announced as a Vodafone exclusive here in the UK yesterday, but as ever, eXpansys is on hand to loosen the definition of the word. It’s already listing the HTC 7 Trophy phone – which packs a 3.8-inch touchscreen, 8GB of storage and 5MP camera – for pre-order, priced SIM-free at £429.99, and with a delivery date of 2 November.

We’re actually surprised that other than the HTC 7 Trophy, there don’t seem to be any other Windows Phone 7 handsets going the same way just yet, but we’ll keep an eye out for you, if years of Android and iPhone refreshes have convinced you to stay out of contract.

If you’ve been away from your desk for the last day, you’ve missed out on an awful lot. Microsoft outed Windows Phone 7 yesterday and we were there live, checking out all the new phones on the way and updates to come. The Samsung Omnia 7 is a sharply dressed Windows Phone 7. It is slick, but boxy too, in a cool metallic casing, with a 4” super AMOLED WVGA touchscreen, the covering for which stretches across the whole of the front of the device.

The LG Optimus 7 was the biggest surprise of the Windows Phone 7 launch. It looks really great, and feels good too, with metal casing that is solid and sturdy, and without any clunkiness in the design, which is a step above its Android LG Optimus cousins.

Dell were also showing off a Windows Phone 7 smartphone today, the rather enormous Dell Vue Pro. This beast has a slide out keyboard, that pops out from the bottom of the phone in portrait, and it’s also got an on board touchscreen. The first thing we noticed about the Dell Vue Pro? It is unbelievably enormous, in a lanky kind of way, especially when the QWERTY keyboard is out and it’s at maximum length.
