PSP Go: Sony snips UK price

Categories: Gaming News   Tags: , ,

Thinking of buying a PSP Go? Well cool your jets until the 1st November, pilgrim – because that’s the day when Sony is giving its handheld console an official price cut.

Obviously, retailers are free to set their own prices for the PSP Go, but Sony has announced that a snip from £224.99 to £159.99 is on the way. The UMD-less PSP Go has been something of a flop, with the iPod touch, iPhone and Nintendo DSi all giving it a kicking on the sales front, so this cut could be Sony’s last attempt to attract buyers. The console has already seen Japanese and US price drops.

An early 2011 launch has been mentioned by the rumour-spreaders, making this PSP Go announcement all the more interesting…
