Apparently Xbox 360 3D smarts aren’t worth spending much time on right now. At least that’s what Microsoft Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer reckons. He told CNN that despite all the PS3 3D chatter, we’re just not that keen on 3D TV hardware yet. Surely he must be confused: Microsoft has already done an Xbox 360 3D deal with LG in the Far East…

Spencer told CNN that Xbox 360 3D support is not top of his list of concerns: “For better or for worse, people just don’t really have TVs in their house right now that are going to do 3D in a way that’s going to work.” He lavished praise on the Nintendo 3DS as part of his attack on Sony: “I like the 3DS…you don’t have to wear glasses.”

He went on to point out that Sony needs to push 3D gaming because it has Sony 3D TV models to flog elsewhere in its empire. Microsoft doesn’t. However, it’s partner LG does and might not be that pleased to here Microsoft execs slagging off its shiny new future tech.

What do you think? Is Spencer right to dismiss Xbox 360 3D support or are you eager to get more extra-dimensional gaming goodies and fed up with crowing from your PS3-packing friends?
