Not 30 minutes ago we warned you that the Samsung Galaxy S Froyo update wouldn’t be without delays and lo, here’s the first one! T-Mobile has declared on its forums that Samsung Galaxy S fans on the network will have to wait until November to grab their Samsung Galaxy S Froyo updates. Bummer! The Android 2.2 delay is down to T-Mobile and Orange mashing together beneath the umbrella Everything Everywhere. T-Mobile is delaying its release of the Samsung Galaxy S Froyo update until November to “get it working better when using Orange signal.” Presumably we could see a similar for Orange Samsung Galaxy S users (folk on the network rather than Oompa Loompa Android fans).

    I'm on Orange in Wales and installed the Official Froyo Update via Kies at precisely 3.45pm thi s afternoon and can honestly say it's worth waiting for!!

    I'm pretty certain that Froyo will arrive via Kies regardless of which operator the phone is connected/locked to. Kies checks for updates on Samsung's update server, nothing to do with T-Mobile, Voda etc.

    How big is the download for this? It took about ten minutes to get about 1/50th of the progress bar, and I decided I might have an important call in the next couple of hours and hit cancel. Is the server just overloaded? Sure my broadband isnt the fastest on the planet… Am on Orange in the UK (for the phone, broadband is someone else)
