Update: We’ve just got in touch to confirm, but a RIM spokesperson has so far declined to comment.

Update 2: A Vodafone spokesperson has responded, telling us: “This is a generic message displayed to customers searching for specific devices on our site. Where we can see people are looking for details of the same particular device, regardless of its status, we adopt this approach.” But is there more to it than that? Let us know what you think.

Exclusive: The BlackBerry Bold 9780 might not just be headed to T-Mobile, as we broke the news of earlier today. We’ve just found a holding page for the phone on Vodafone’s UK website too.

Mosey on over to Vodafone’s UK website and have a quick search for “Bold 9780″ or “BlackBerry Bold 9780″. You might just get a page like the one above, with the rather unsubtle “The BlackBerry Bold 9780 is not yet available on Vodafone. Please register your interest here” message. The link takes you through to a stock form page unfortunately, but it’s an interesting sign that it could be incoming.

No other UK network currently lists the BlackBerry Bold 9780 in anyway, but T-Mobile has confirmed the 5MP traditionally portrait QWERTY ‘Berry will be on sale by Christmas, so we might just hear more from Vodafone soon.

We’ve contacted both Vodafone and RIM for comment, and will update as and when we hear back.
