After news that the launch date for the Nintendo 3DS is going to be all the way into next year, not Christmas like we expected, the 3DS also got a price for Japan, and we were assured by Nintendo president Saturo Iwata that 3DS games would not be more expensive than usual DS games.This got us thinking: if we had the choice, what would we prefer? To spend top dollar on a console, or extra cash on games?
Is it more important for you, that Nintendo makes Nintendo 3DS games cheap, or that the 3DS itself is cheap? What’s a better bet? if the 3DS games are cheap, then could this have a knock on effect on the developers? If the Nintendo 3DS is cheap, could it turn out to be an unsustainable product for Nintendo?
Obviously, we’d all rather have both a cheap 3DS and cheap 3DS games. But if you had to choose to bump the price of one, which would it be?
