Well. The Motorola Droid Pro certainly looks unusual, but we’ve got a feeling there’s a rather large army of Google fans out there longing for a high end Android phone with a portrait QWERTY keyboard to rival a BlackBerry. You’re looking at Android 2.2. with Flash support, a 3.1-inch multitouch screen, mobile hotpost support and 2GB of internal storage, which should keep most suits happy and then some.

Sounds good right? Unfortunately, while the Motorola Droid Pro is due out in the US in a few weeks, a UK Motorola spokesperson told us the announcement is “US specific”, and wouldn’t confirm if it would ship here. Bah. Hey Moto: make the Motorola Milestone Pro happen.

Typical Motorola doing a US only launch. They're losing a lot of fans pulling stunts like this. I realise the US market is huge but I'm sick to death of Verizon this, AT&T this. There is a world outside the US Motorola!

I find it baffling how Motorola doesn't seem to mind not having its phone sold directly through networks in the UK. I've asked their execs why and they've been very unphased about it, as though fewer channels is somehow better. It's not like Motorola's making rubbish phones like it was 18 months ago either.
