A Spotify Windows Phone app has arrived, completely out of the blue. It’s slightly strange timing, since the Windows Mobile 6.x app has hit the Marketplace and m.spotify.com for download just a week before the launch of Windows Phone 7, but Spotify says it’ll “soon be available on the upcoming Windows Phone 7 platform” too. The Spotify Windows Phone app works pretty similarly to the Spotify Android app: you can stream over WiFi, 3G or 2.5G, and playlists can be stored for offline playback. Wireless syncing is available, and the Spotify Windows Phone app runs in the background. Needless to say, you’ll need a Spotify Premium account.
