At the end of last week we took stock of the PlayStation Move, and asked: will there ever be a great PlayStation Move game? The answer from you was a clear yes, with only seven per cent of you saying that there would definitely not be any good games for the PlayStation Move.
Despite the reasonably restricted range of games available, the vast majority of you said that yes, there will be great games for the PlayStation Move, and many of you objected to our use of the future tense, and said there already were great games for the PlayStation Move. The games you mentioned as top notch Move titles were Heavy Rain, Resident Evil 5, and Flight Control HD. Many of you called out for more though, and wanted to have a stab at playing Call of Duty with the PlayStation Move.
In total, 93 per cent of voters said that games could and would be great for the PlayStation Move. 21 per cent of that total said that it was just a matter of time, and almost 60 per cent were positive that we’d be getting our hands on great PlayStation Move games in the near future.
In the comments the response to PlayStation Move was positive: drcflame53 said: “The Move is off to a decent start with Move games: Resident Evil 5, Heavy Rain, R.U.S.E. , M.A.G. and Tiger woods PGA work really well,” and Raonak Naicker said he plays MAG exclusively with the Move since getting his hands on one: “I think it could fit in other FPS perfectly. Also, Resident Evil 5 proves it will also work well with third person shooters.”
Other commenters weren’t so sure. William disagreed, and said: “Move has to act quickly, high quality titles are badly needed, it might be crushed by a new Wii HD if it comes out soon enough,” and Scamuelb said: “Sony always does this, brings out a great bit of kit, then fails to utilise it. Case in point , Play TV updates, Xgame chat , all relatively simple but Sony just like screwing the end user.”
What do you think? Move has its naysayers and its ardent supporters already, but what would turn the tide to make the Move a raging success or a pitiful failure?
