Today we got a look at some of the silliest, weirdest toys and gadgets that’ll be filling your stockings this Christmas, and by far the best thing we saw, that stood heads above silly putty and remote control helicopters, was the range of Lego storage boxes which took the form of giant Lego heads, and mini wall lights, plus, lunchbox type Lego storage boxes for the kids (or yourself, obviously).

Today HTC announced it is launching HTCSense.com, a series of connected HTC services, which will “provide the capability to manage, control and customise the customer experience,” according to John Wang, the chief marketing officer at HTC.

Translation? HTC just put itself squarely head to head with the iPhone and Mobile Me, Windows Phone and its remote lockdown, and even certain Symbian apps. The gameplan? In all likelihood making HTC phones the defacto device for businesses and security-conscious laymen alike

The flagship branch of the toy warehouse in Brent and branches in Oldbury and Warrington are flinging open their doors at midnight on Thursday to allow PS3 fans to grab the PlayStation Move. Nokia has got a little aggressive with its marketing, and has gone guerrilla outside the HTC Desire HD launch we’re at today, with a small cluster of people clutching red balloons, that read: “I know where I’m going with Nokia’s Ovi Maps”. In return, we’ve heard that HTC has parked a van outside Nokia World, which goes into its second day today. Is this going too far? Has Nokia shown its vulnerability here, is this schoolyard tactics, or is it a welcome bit of aggression?
