The Nokia N8 is shipping at long last, Espoo confirmed this morning – and those who pre-ordered the first Symbian 3 smartphone should be receiving theirs very soon indeed. Just how soon? Read on to find out.
The Nokia N8 units have begun shipping from factories in China and Finland, after months of waiting and last minute delay. Nokia says that those who reordered the Nokia N8 should get theirs first, and according to the company’s Facebook page, that should be “before the weekend”, which pretty much leaves Friday, unless Royal Mail suddenly ups its game.

This is an important time for Nokia: with a new CEO in place and the company’s first high end Symbian phone for well over a year about to go on sale, it could be the start of a big come back in the smartphone business. Will it be remembered for the right reasons this time?
