The Nintendo 3DS caused quite a stir when it was revealed at this year’s E3 expo in June, but despite breathless gamers clamouring for it around the globe, Nintendo has kept quiet as to when exactly we’d be seeing it on shelves. Until now. At a press conference in Japan, the company has announced its rollout plans, so if you’ve got your eyes on the Nintendo 3DS, be sure to read on and find out when it hits.
In Japan, you’ll be able to buy the Nintendo 3DS, which comes with one touchscreen panel and one stereoscopic 3D screen that doesn’t require glasses, from 26 February 2011, priced at 25,000 yen, around £189 at current exchange rates.

The UK, Europe and US meanwhile will get the Nintendo 3DS in March, with Nintendo’s own take on exchange prices still unannounced for the time being. That ties in exactly with Nintendo’s previous claims that the Nintendo 3DS would not launch later than March next year, but if you were hoping for one under the tree come Christmas, that’s not going to happen.
