Last week we asked you what you thought Facebook was building, after the volley of TechCrunch leaks and debunkings had calmed down. After Zuckerberg spoke on the rumours, he still left the door open for a number of possibilities on whether Facebook had plans for a smartphone.


Half of you put your money on Facebook building an INQ smartphone that would be crammed with all the functionality of Facebook. This looks to be the most likely outcome, as INQ has been linked by Bloomberg as working with Facebook to develop handsets, and fits with the original TechCrunch leak, which stated that Facebook would be building software, and working with a third party on the hardware.

A quarter of you expected to see a Facebook operating system emerging some time in the future, and almost as many, 19 per cent of you, said that you were expecting to see a Facebook phone, with Facebook operating system, with Facebook building the hardware and software.
